Watches eBay continuously against your brief — your categories, keywords, condition requirements and budget. The moment a listing matches, Scout One flags it immediately, day or night.
Finds itExamines every find in detail — authenticity, provenance, condition by component, and any red flags a buyer should know about. Works on eBay finds and items you already own. Scout Two tells you what you're really looking at.
Appraises itCross-references comparable recent sales at auction and on eBay to give you a fair value range — whether you're buying, selling, or simply curious what something in your collection is worth.
Values itDon't see your category? If it's sold on eBay, 3scouts can watch it. Whatever you collect — from vintage cameras to rare whisky, fishing tackle to first editions — tell us what you're scouting for and we'll be on it.
Tell us what you collect →Every match triggers a standard alert. Request a Deep Analysis on any find for the full professional appraisal — exactly as shown below, which is an actual alert and subsequent Deep Analysis report for an antique map collector and client of 3scouts.com.

Very good — within a realistic market range. 3scouts uses Claude Advanced Vision, Anthropic's most capable image analysis model, cross-referenced against auction records and current market data. Valuations are expressed as a range (e.g. €800–€1,200) rather than a single figure, which is how professional appraisers work. The range reflects genuine market variation based on condition, provenance and buyer. Without physically examining an item, no appraisal can be absolute — but our assessments are consistently comparable to what you'd receive from a specialist dealer.
Better than most. 3scouts analyses construction methods, materials, hallmarks, signatures, patina, and stylistic consistency against documented examples. It gives you an authenticity confidence percentage and flags specific red flags to verify in person. It won't replace physical examination by a specialist for high-value pieces — but it will tell you whether something is worth that examination, and what to look for when you get there.
Anything with visual identifying features — hallmarks, signatures, maker's marks, stylistic period indicators, or distinctive construction. Antique silver, ceramics, art, maps, coins, jewellery, watches, vintage collectables and sporting memorabilia all work exceptionally well. The more detail you provide in your description — and the better your photos — the more precise your report will be. That said, 3scouts has successfully appraised everything from Georgian rattles to modern earbuds.
A Google search returns general information. 3scouts returns a specific professional assessment of your specific item — authenticity confidence, component-by-component condition grading, comparable recent sales, a fair value range, and a plain-English recommendation. It also watches eBay continuously on your behalf, alerting you the moment something matching your brief appears — something no search engine does. Think of it as having an expert on call, rather than a library.
Completely free. No card, no trial, no catch. Submit your item, receive your full Deep Analysis report by email, and decide for yourself whether 3scouts is right for you. If you'd like more valuations or want Scout One watching eBay on your behalf, that's when a subscription starts — with a 30-day free trial and no charge until day 31.
Usually within the hour — often within minutes. Your report arrives by email as soon as the analysis is complete, with a link to your full branded report page. Subscribers also receive a push notification via the 3scouts app the moment it's ready.
That's entirely reasonable — valuations involve judgement, and physical examination can reveal details photographs can't. If you believe the assessment is significantly off, email [email protected] with your reasoning. We take feedback seriously and use it to continuously improve. We'd also always recommend verifying high-value finds with a specialist before purchasing or selling.
One click, any time, no questions asked. Manage your subscription at any time through your account — there are no cancellation fees, no notice periods, and no awkward phone calls. We believe if 3scouts isn't delivering value, you shouldn't be paying for it.
Something not covered here? Email us at [email protected] — we respond to every message personally, usually the same day.
Without physically seeing and examining an item, no definitive appraisal or purchase recommendation can be made. All 3scouts valuations, authenticity assessments and condition reports are guidance based on available listing photographs and market data only. They are provided to assist your research and decision-making — not as a substitute for expert physical examination. In most circumstances you are protected by eBay's Money Back Guarantee — if an item is not as described, eBay's Buyer Protection policy generally entitles you to a full refund. 3scouts accepts no liability for purchasing decisions made on the basis of its assessments.
